It was a fine Monday morning. John and his best friend Tom were about to reach their school. The pedestrian light had turned green, and they crossed the road after seeing there was no on-coming traffic.
Then, all of a sudden, a big boy appeared on his dashing bike, and was about to crash into Tom. “Watch out!” a passer-by shouted. But it was too late. The bike banged right into Tom’s right leg and sent him spinning.
“Ouch!” Tom cried out in pain. John helped him up and put a bandage around his ankle. The passer-by gave the big boy a piece of his mind for riding in such a dangerous manner. After five minutes rest, John helped the limping Tom to his classroom, just in time for his mathematics lesson.
